Affiliate Programme Terms

Last updated September 1, 2026

These Affiliate Programme Terms ("Affiliate Terms") are a contract between you and Prism ("Prism", "we", "us") and govern your participation in the Prism affiliate programme (the "Programme"). They are additional to, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service; where the two conflict on a Programme matter, these Affiliate Terms control. By enrolling in the Programme you agree to these Affiliate Terms. If you do not agree, do not enrol.

  1. 01

    Commission rate and base

Commission is a percentage of the amount actually charged to the referred user for a qualifying purchase, before any fees are deducted ("gross"). The rate is not flat. It rises on a tiered ladder keyed to the cumulative gross you have personally driven:

    • $0 and up: 15%
    • $1,000 and up: 20%
    • $5,000 and up: 25%

A threshold crossing applies forward only: once your cumulative volume crosses a threshold, the higher rate applies to commissions from that point on. It is never applied retroactively. Commissions you already earned below a threshold keep the rate they were earned at.

  2. 02

    Duration

Each referral pays commission for 12 months from the date the referred user signs up, not from the date of any individual purchase. Purchases the referred user makes after their 12-month window has closed do not earn commission.

  3. 03

    Attribution

Attribution is first-touch: the first affiliate link a user clicks is the one credited, and a later click on a different affiliate's link during the same window does not move the credit. A click is valid for 30 days. If the user signs up more than 30 days after clicking your link, the referral is not attributed to you.

Attribution is device-based. If someone clicks your link on one device and signs up on a different device or browser without clicking it again there, we have no way to connect the two events, and the referral will not be attributed to you. This is a real limitation of link-based tracking, not a bug we expect to fix, and you should account for it when estimating your funnel.

Attribution requires a genuinely new Prism signup. Your link will not attribute if the person already has a Prism account — including an existing user upgrading their plan through your link — or if another affiliate is already credited with referring them.

  4. 04

    Qualifying events

Commission is paid on subscriptions and credit packs purchased by a referred user during their referral term. Purchases made on Prism's free tier earn nothing, because the free tier itself costs nothing. Driving signups is not the same as driving paying customers, and this Programme pays only on the latter.

  5. 05

    Refunds and chargebacks

If a purchase you earned commission on is refunded or charged back, we reverse the share of the commission that matches the amount refunded. A partial refund reverses that part of the commission and no more; a full refund reverses all of it. Where the refund we receive does not report how much was returned, we reverse the commission in full. The reversal is deducted from your balance and offsets future commissions. If reversals exceed what you have pending, your balance can go negative and future commissions will pay it down before adding to your available balance. We do not invoice you or otherwise demand cash back for a negative balance; it is only ever recovered from commissions you earn afterward.

  6. 06

    Hold period

A commission is not immediately available to withdraw. It sits in a 30-day hold after the purchase before it becomes payable.

  7. 07

    Payouts

We pay out an available balance once it reaches $50. Below that minimum, a balance carries forward and is paid once it does.

  8. 08

    Promotion restrictions

You may promote your affiliate link only through organic means. The following are not permitted at any time:

    • Bidding on brand-name keywords
    • Coupon, deal and cashback sites
    • Paid advertising

The item immediately above is permitted only with our prior written consent. Ask us before you run anything, tell us where it will run and what it will say, and we will answer. Advertising that carries the Prism name affects our standing with the platforms it runs on, which is why we want to see it first. Running it without consent is treated the same as the prohibitions above.

We may suspend your participation, and withhold commissions not yet available, if we find you promoting in a way that breaches this section.

  9. 09

    Self-referral

You may not refer yourself. This means: the referred account must not belong to you or to an entity you own or control, you must not have a pre-existing commercial relationship with the referred user that the referral is substituting for, and you must not route a purchase you would have made anyway through your own link. We may ask you to demonstrate that a referral is independent of you before paying commission on it, and we may withhold or reverse commission on any referral we determine violates this section.

  10. 10

    Suspension and termination

You may stop participating in the Programme at any time. We may suspend or terminate your participation if you breach these Affiliate Terms, the Terms of Service, or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we reasonably suspect fraud.

Suspension or termination stops new commissions from accruing from that point on. Commission that has already become available for payout before suspension or termination remains payable to you, except where the suspension or termination is for fraud, in which case we may withhold or reverse it.

  11. 11

    Changes to the commission rate

We may revise the rate ladder in Section 1 on notice. A rate change applies only to referrals enrolled after the change takes effect. Every referral already attributed to you keeps the ladder that was in place when it was attributed for the remainder of its Section 2 term. A later change never re-rates a referral you already have.

  12. 12

    Taxes

You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes owed on the commissions you earn. Before we make a payout, we may require you to provide tax information (for example a completed tax form) and, if legally required, to have valid tax documentation on file.
